Masterclass: A Way Out (Of Lockdown)

How can filmmakers promote themselves to audiences and industry? And how should they tackle restraints put upon cinemas and festivals because of the Covid-19 pandemic?
In this Master class she will talk about creative and business development, the various tools for social media and other platforms, and how to create a marketing language for your film. McInnis will navigate us through questions relevant for emerging filmmakers as well as established industry professionals. Questions and comments are welcome throughout.

KATHLEEN McINNIS is a curator, creative producer, and publicist who assists filmmakers around the world. Let yourself be inspired by one of the most experienced industry people around!

KATHLEEN McINNIS has programmed for Toronto International Film Festival and been director of Palm Springs INternational Film Festival, which is also an Oscar-qualifying festival. She is the founder and CEO og See-Through Films LLC, a company assisting emerging filmmakers globally in business development. McInnis teaches strategic festival development at the University of California (UCLA) and is a visiting lecturer at the University of South Carolina, Brooklyn College, and New York University. She has also been on the international shorts selection committee for the Norwegian Short Film Festival.
