DALIA AL-KURY is a Palestinian/Jordanian film director. Her films explore different cultural taboos in the Arab world and have been commissioned and screened on International TV channels such as ZDF Arte, Al-Jazeera and Al Arabiya. Her feature Possessed by Djinn premiered at the Hot Docs and Leipzig Film Festivals, while her film Privacy of Wounds premiered at IDFA and was nominated for a series of prestigious awards. She holds an MA in Screen Documentary from Goldsmiths University and is currently a PhD candidate at the Norwegian Film School investigating cross-genre methodologies. Dalia lives in Oslo.
RAUL NINO ZAMBRANO has worked at the Program Department of IDFA, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, since 2008. His expertise relates in particular to Latin American cinema, debut films and LGBTQI+ documentaries, for which he has been invited to many festivals and international events as a jury and tutor. He studied Media & Culture and Film Studies at the University of Amsterdam and is currently one of the curators of IDFA’s International and Envision Competitions as well as of the Frontlight/Luminous sections and the IDFA Queer Day.
CARMEN GRAY is a freelance journalist, film critic, and programmer from New Zealand who now lives in Berlin. Publications she has written for include The New York Times, The Guardian, Art Review, Criterion, Screen International, MUBI, The Calvert Journal and Modern Times Review, and she was formerly Film Editor of Dazed & Confused magazine in London. She is on the selection committee for the Winterthur International Short Film Festival in Switzerland, and is a programme adviser for Open City Docs in London. She has consulted on film projects for organisations including the Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art, has been an industry adviser for First Cut Lab, and has served on more than fifty festival juries. In 2018 she was Theorist in Residence at Das Weisse Haus gallery in Vienna.
