This year we have a special focus on Ukraine and Ukrainan film. Now more than ever, Ukrainians need to be seen and heard, and in this selection of short films, the audience is introduced to life in the independent state of Ukraine. The films in the program offer us insight into individual stories, a rich cultural heritage and everyday life in Ukraine before Putin’s invasion and war.  

This selection has been made by Anika Salvesen for the Norwegian Short Film Festival in cooperation with the Ukranian festivals Odesa International Film Festival and LINOLEUM Contemporary Animation and Media Art Festival.
