Film Talk is a series where we invite filmmakers to a conversation about work processes with a focus on collaboration between professional functions. In this edition we meet director Jonas Matzow Gulbrandsen and composer Zbigniew Preisner (on Zoom).

Jonas is an award-winning director/writer who graduated from the Polish National Film School in Lodz (PWSFTviT) in 2011. His short films Darek (2009) and Everything Will Be Ok (2011) have won several national and international awards. In 2017 he released his first feature film Valley of Shadows, which premiered in Toronto. 

Zbigniew Preisner is Poland’s leading film music composer and is considered to be one of the most outstanding film composers internationally. Preisner is best known for his work with film director Krzysztof Kieślowski, especially for Dekalog, the Three Colors trilogy and The Double Life of Veronique.

The first part of the event with only Gulbrandsen will take place in Norwegian language. The second part, with Preisner joining on Zoom, will be in English. Duration is about an hour and the event is open for questions from the public.
