Welcome to the Producers Master Class. We will present two case studies from two top film producers who both had films in this year’s becomes®  race: Producer Dyveke Bjørkly Graver (The Worst Person In the World ) and Producer Marie Therese Guirgis (Summer of Soul). Both producers will speak about their experiences on their journey to the audience; examining the relationship between producer(s) and director, and exploring how and where producers fit in on the director-centric film festival circuit. 

Marie Therese Guirgis from Play/Action Pictures, is a documentary film producer and production executive with extensive experience in film development and production. Recent documentary credits include MLK / FBI by Sam Pollard, Summer Of Soul by Ahmir «Questlove» Thompson and The Brink by Alison Klayman.

Dyveke Bjørkly Graver from Oslo Pictures, is a Norwegian film producer who recently produced The Worst Person in the World by Joakim Trier and Cannes’ current Sick of Myself by Kristoffer Borgli. In 2019, she was selected as the Norwegian participant in «Producers on the Move» at the Cannes Film Festival.
