Isak works at a nursing home, where he meets 92-year-old Ingunn. She has dementia, and during their first meeting she asks: Why are you black? And through this absurd and brutal question, they form a friendship.
Julie Skaufel is a director, writer and showrunner.
She originally got a bachelor degree in acting, and worked for some time. But then she moved to Los Angeles where she studied film making and worked for 3 years.
After moving back to Oslo she has been working on developing her own projects for film and television through her company Onkel Film, and as a co-owner in Bifrost Media. At the same time she is working on developing new concepts for the stage.
She recently wrote two seasons of Home for Christmas, on Netflix, which was the most viewed Norwegian tv-series worldwide. She is currently writing and showrunning a tv-series "I do" (Evy og alltid), which will air on NRK in the fall of 2022. She is also writing her book Super Granny (working title) which will be published spring 2022 and the feature film based on the book will premiere in 2023.
