Slating requires diligence and is a very important step of the filmmaking process. Its purpose is to keep a consistent flow of information throughout production. Center of this story is a clapper and his clapper board. A symphony of clapping.

Arne Körner

Arne Körner was born in Hamburg in 1986. After his apprenticeship as a baker he studied film by Wim Wenders at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and graduated from Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School. 

Körner‘s short films have been shown at over 100 national and international festivals, winning numerous awards. Many of his works are represented by the French distribution company Light Cone; at realeyz.de, and other Video on Demand services. The Bicycle, Körner‘s first feature film world premiered at the Festival des Films du Monde de Montréal and received the Prix du Jury, before its German cinema release. His next feature, Gasman, premiered at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival and had its nationwide cinema release in 2021.
