Espen Aukan has a degree in screenwriting from the Norwegian Film School in Lillehammer. He has written plays, short and feature films, worked on documentary film projects and written for television series. In 2010, he was nominated for the Ibsen Prize for the play Snehvit (Snow White). Among other things, he has written the screenplay for the sci-fi short film Baby Boom (honorable mention at the 2022 Short Film Festival), the first Norwegian werewolf film, Viking Wolf, and last, but not least Troll, which remains the most watched non-English language Netflix production ever. He is also the screenwriter for the sequel, Troll 2, to be released on Netflix in 2025.

Marie Hafting is a screenwriter with a master’s degree in theater science from the University of Oslo. She has been a script producer for Hotel Caesar and has written for a number of TV shows, including Young and Promising, Between Us and Piggy. In 2022, she was a series creator for Everything You Love, which premiered at Discovery/Max and won an award during Canneseries.
