Mona Johanne Hoel
studied photography at ICP New York and film directing at Dramatic Institute, Stockholm. Her graduation film The House (1989) won the main award at Int. School Film Festival Munich, and she has since won numerous national and international awards for her works, including the 1992 Terje Vigen Award, the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury Oberhausen, a DOK Leipzig Prize, and she is a two-time Leopard of Tomorrow at Locarno Film Festival. Her short film One Last Try screened in competition in Grimstad 2019.
Norway’s only Dogma film (certified nr. 19) Cabin Fever (2000) was Opening film at Gothenburg Film Festival, and got nominated for Karlovy Vary’s Crystal Globe. Clorox, Ammonia and Coffee (2004) won the main award at Mannheim Heidelberg Film Festival, and Hoel’s fourth feature, Are You Leaving Already? world premiered at Gothenburg Film Festival 2020. Hoel founded Freedom From Fear Films in New York in 1993, and through her company she is currently in post production with her fifth feature film Night, as well as the short Face the Wind. She is also in post with Sara Margrethe Oskal´s feature debut The Land is My Heart, in pre production with Marianne Ulrichsens upcoming short Smerteterskel and in development with Thomas Lundes feature debut Darkness.
Truls Krane Meby
is a Norway and Berlin-based, award-winning, self-taught filmmaker from Lofoten, in Arctic Norway. He works as a director, editor, and writer. His films have screened at festivals across the globe, and he is a 2015 alumni of Berlinale Talents. His feature film debut Katja Dreams of Waking Up is currently on the festival circuit, and he is also in development with two new projects, Age Sex Location and Jenna Splits.

Michael Fukushima
has In his 36-year-long career been an animator, filmmaker, producer, and head of the National Film Board of Canada’s Animation Studio. He’s a member of the AMPAS® Academy, with over 200 films (and some nice awards) under his belt. He has produced three Oscar-nominated animation shorts (most recently, Affairs of the Art by Joanna Quinn and Les Mills), and executive-produced a fourth. Now mostly retired, Fukushima skis, cycles, and cherry-picks projects that interest him and “spark joy.”
Jean-Christophe Lamontagne,
driven by his passion for promoting cinema, founded h264 Distribution in 2015. His goal: to expand the reach of cinematographic works by forging strong relationships between audiences and creators. The same impulse brings him to cofound and pilot Plein(s) Écran(s), the world’s first film festival to take place on Facebook. h264 is diversifying its activities and, in 2019, it launched a new aggregation service offer to improve accessibility and distribution on digital platforms.
2021 marks a new milestone for h264, as it is moving into feature film distribution following the acquisition of Fragments with the aim of offering an integrated and innovative distribution model.
Marina D. Richter
is a film critic, script consultant and a published writer. She’s been reporting on film and art as Vienna-based foreign correspondent for the culture department of the Serbian newspaper Politika since 2005. She was a regular contributor to the film column of the longest-running Croatian on-line newspaper Monitor, and she wrote about film for the Serbian weekly Vreme. Her film reviews and interviews were published in Cineuropa, in the Estonian cultural weekly Sirp, EFA newsletter, Vice and the Slovak Film.sk. She regularly contributes to the online daily Lupiga. Marina is a member of Serbian Fipresci, the Alliance of Women Film Journalists and the European Film Academy.
