Sylvia Le Fanu is a British-born writer-director, based in Denmark where she grew up.
She graduated from the Norwegian Film School in 2020 with the short film “Before Long”. Before entering the 3-year program in Norway she took a BA in Film- and Media Science at Copenhagen University and also attended the independent film school 18Frames, where she made the short film “Abu Adnan” (2017), which was nominated for the Danish Robert award alongside taking part in a long list of international festivals counting among others Clermont Ferrand, Sundance’s side program WINDRIDER and won best short film at INDY SHORTS at Heartland Film festival.
