New York 81 is an offbeat mystery about a photograph that went missing years ago, and the many memories and stories it unfolds, real and imagined.

Jannicke Systad Jacobsen

Jannicke Systad Jacobsen is an Oslo-based writer and director, whose films are characterized by great humorous flair. She studied directing at FAMU – the Czech National Film School and London International Film School, as well as theater science and anthropology at the University of Oslo.

Her short documentaries War On Paranoia (2003) and The Clown Children (2005) played on the film festival circuit, and she also directed the cult TV-documentary Sandmann – The Story Of A Socialist Superman (2005). Her feature film Turn Me On, Dammit (2011) won Best Screenplay at Tribeca Film Festival, the national film award Amanda for Best Picture and Best Cinematography, and received international theatrical release.
