Andalé is severely traumatized after fleeing from war to safety in Norway. Kasper grew up in a home without pursuit of material status and close to nature. A late summer meeting turns into love, but when Andalé’s family is deported, she loses all hope. 

Mona Johanne Hoel

Mona J. Hoel is a Norwegian writer, producer and director. She studied photography at New York’s International Center of Photography from 1982 to 1985, while she got her degree in theater science from the University of Oslo. She then got her film direction degree from the Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art. In 1982 she founded her production company Freedom from Fear, and in 2000 she made Norway’s first Dogma certified feature film, Når nettene blir lange.
