NEXT STOP – FEATURES is an industry-audience lab designed to help emerging filmmakers identify their voice and learn how it moves their project forward on the journey to audience.

Industry mentors and audience will be part of the launching process for three filmmakers transitioning from short films to their first feature. After watching their shorts, each filmmaker will take the stage to pitch their debut feature, and present clips (if available). Mentors and audience will then give feedback as to what they might expect or anticipate from your feature. We will be looking to identify VOICE; spotlight STORY, and explore each filmmaker’s unique approach to CRAFT.

The following filmmakers will take the stage to pitch their debut feature film, and present clips:

Marianne Ulrichsen – Wrestling Heart

Maria Lloyd – Echo Puncture

Daniel Paida Larsen – Nothing, Arizona, Us 

The event will be moderated by Kathleen McInnis, who will also provide pitch-training to each filmmaker or film team in advance of their pitch.
