Karin Ferrari uses images, forms, and symbols from pop- and everyday culture to investigate the present. Her work is inspired by knowledge productions in the threshold of esoteric utopia and political paranoia. The artist calls such phenomena “trash mysticism” – a kind of DIY spirituality that emerges from mainstream capitalist culture.
