Expectations are always high before the selection jury put the competition programs together, and of course the announcement will spark emotions and discussions. The selection process consists of numerous discussions and evaluations in order to present a well rounded program of Norwegian short films that is representative of the last year. Oftentimes the smallest detail can be the deciding factor, and giving our filmmakers a rejection is the worst part of the job, which is why it is a joy to present this special program of films that didn’t make the final cut this year. All films were selected randomly in a draw.
