Welcome to the 47th Norwegian Short Film Festival!

We are finally ready for the doors to Kulturhuset’s main hall to open and let us step into the magical darkness of the cinema, where we will welcome you all before we let a curated selection of films from this year’s extensive program excite us!

Our host is Christina Skreiberg, who with her steady exuberance will set the mood for the Opening Night, as well as for our Closing Night Award Ceremony on Saturday.

We look forward to a Grimstad filled with Norwegian and international filmmakers, film enthusiasts and industry representatives, and we hope you will notice how high the bar has been set through the selection of films in our opening program!

This event is free and open for all.

Christina Skreiberg is a journalist and runs, among other things, Frilanslivet, a podcast about self-employment in the media, art and culture industry in Norway, where she interviews creatives about their work. 

As a journalist, she has written for publications such as Aftenposten, DN Saturday, D2, and Innsikt. She regularly gives talks and lectures, has published several books and was voted «Freelancer of the Year 2016» by the Norwegian Journalist Association for the documentary photo project, book and exhibition «Hey neighbour! – one block, a whole world«. 

Christina has been host for several cultural events, and is looking forward to the Short Film Festival experience in Grimstad!
