Zolle: Resign

A woman is trapped in limbo between the living and the dead, between memory and reality. She was an immigrant but had never thought that even in death she would walk restlessly, without belonging. The Chinese American composer Du Yun has written the opera Zolle about the woman, and in this abstract animated short film, director Kristian Pedersen offers his graphic interpretation of her loneliness and longing.
