Jaanus spends the last day with his wife Karin at home. In the midst of common eiders, seagulls, fishing nets and summer breeze, they send Karin’s soul to eternity. An everyday life full of bitter sweet love falls with the setting sun into the depths of the sea.
Eeva Mägi (b. 1987, Estonia) in 2015 obtained a master’s degree in directing documentary from Baltic Film and Media School. In 2018 she was given a young filmmaker’s award by Cultural Endowment of Estonia, and in 2019 she received a DocPoint Tallinn young filmmaker award. In 2020 her film The Weight of All the Beauty won the best international short documentary film award at Melbourne International Film Festival 2020.
