Alireza Kazemipour is an award-winning Iranian-Canadian screenwriter, director, and producer who got his master’s degree in Film Directing from the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Art in 2010. After his short film debut with Slowness, in 2020 he made his second film The Blue Bed, which screened at more than 60 film festivals around the world, receiving several awards, including Best Director from Vancouver Short Film Festival. In 2021 he directed the documentary feature film Margin vs. Center. Social justice, women’s rights, and immigrant issues are his concerns.
