After 20 years without communication, a filmmaker travels back to her grandparents’ house, where she went through traumatic events that left deep traces in her forever. The family gathering contradicts her attempt to put the past behind her.
Olga Lucovnicova is a Moldovan documentary filmmaker and explorer of audiovisual art, currently living in Belgium. In Moldova, her first films, One Little Rowan Branch (2012) and I Do not Hate You, Death (2016) received awards for best Moldovan film at Conograf, the largest international film festival in Moldova. Olga’s latest film, Nanu Tudor (2020), was awarded the WildCard by the Flanders Audiovisual Fund from Belgium and with the Golden Bear for best short film at the 71st edition of the Berlin Film Festival.
