Aron Kantor is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and artist, currently based in Los Angeles. Throughout his career, Aron has been and remains committed to telling stories that center queer experience, lives, and characters. His short films explore themes of gender identity and queer sexuality through a lens of absurdity and dark humor.

Aron’s extensive body of short-form work has been presented in galleries and screened in over 60 film festivals worldwide. He made his live-theater directing debut in 2021 with Black Benatar’s Black Magic Cabaret, a queer social justice cabaret. He has also crafted original title sequences for several feature films. In 2022 Aron was selected as a member of Sony Pictures Television’s Diverse Directors Program. A pilot Aron co-wrote with award-winning novelist K.M. Soehnlein has recently been optioned by Sony Pictures Television for development, and he is currently in development on his first feature film, OTTO SABOTAGE.
