Genís and older brother Martí hang with friends in a small town. After getting abuse from a group of older kids, they leave to make mischief in a nearby farmhouse. There, they find a nest of chicks, but when things go wrong, Genís discovers an unfamiliar side of his brother.
Valèria Cuní has a bachelor in Cinematography from the Catalonia School of Film and Audiovisuals (ESCAC) and is currently taking her master’s degree in Film Direction. As a director and screenwriter, her short films deal with children and adolescent protagonists facing the loss of their innocence. Her video art and experimental pieces have received national and international recognition. The Nest is her fifth short film as a director, after Petites Morts (2022), Pas A Dos (2021), El Milagro de Paula (2020) and Amada Amanda (2019).
