Everyone agrees that the short film format is important, yet it is deprioritised and funding is regularly cut, both in production and launching stages. 

If it is difficult to see this picture as a whole – where, why and in which areas short films really play a significant role, we need to address this urgently – and in capital letters. 

We need to highlight and strengthen the short film’s position, and make it clear why it is so essential, on every level. 

In this conversation we will meet Terez Hollo-Klausen from The Norwegian Film Institute, Bahareh Badavi from the Writers’ Guild, and Ingrid Liavaag, deputy chair of the Directors’ Guild of Norway.
