This year’s program curated from the 2024 Sundance Film Festival features six shorts, including three Award-winning titles. The program is a mix of fiction, documentary, and animated shorts with a focus on contemporary American filmmaking, but also featuring international works.
The program starts with Alison Rich’s hilarious, yet tender short film, PATHOLOGICAL, followed by a thought-provoking meditation on place and ownership in Jared James Lank’s BAY OF HERONS.
Following Alex Lora’s Grand Jury Prize winner, THE MASTERPIECE, we have BUG DINER, Phoebe Jane Hart’s animation prize winner. Renee Zhan moves into live action with a tense portrait of the pressure to perform in SHÉ (SNAKE), and finally the documentary prize winner BOB’S FUNERAL, Jack Dunphy’s provocative and profound look at generational trauma and familial love.
