In 1997, a man was convicted for having sex with an underage boy. Two months before his sixteenth birthday, the boy in question had responded to an advert the man had placed in the personals. The boy was exactly 56 days too young. According to Norwegian law, sex is legal from the age of sixteen. As the film’s director, Jacobsen, comments:“The details of what happened were probably nothing to be particularly proud of, but what amazes me is the way this case made so many people scream blue murder”.
Lars Daniel Krutzkoff Jacobsen has extensive experience from the Norwegian film industry, and has written scripts for and directed twelve films, including the feature films The Immoral and 5 Lies. His short film Precious Moments received several international awards, including in Berlin, Turin and New York. Precious Moments won the Berlinale Teddy Award 2003 for Best Short Film.
Jan Dalchow (b. 1968) has since 1995 produced and / or directed several award-winning documentaries. He first received attention from both the industry, the press and the audience with the LGBT documentaries Jeg elsker hvem jeg vil, BE – skitne, syndige meg og 100% menneske, and co-directed / produced the controversial short film Precious Moments which was awarded prizes both at the Berlinale and Tribeca. He later produced the United States against Al-Arian and Living Without Money, focusing on both anti-Muslim laws and consumer culture. Being an outsider is a cherished theme for Dalchow, who knows what «being different» can mean. The series and the film NAK-ED, about shame over our own naked bodies, fit well into the series of productions.
