Farnoosh Samadi is an Iranian director and scriptwriter graduated from Rome Fine Art Academy, Italy. In 2013, she co-wrote More Than Two Hours with Ali Asgari, which was nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes and the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival, Their second film, The Baby, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2014. In 2016, she wrote and co-directed her first short film, The Silence, receiving another Palme d’Or nomination. Her second short film, Gaze, premiered at Locarno Film Festival in 2018. Her first feature film, 180° Rule, premiered at Toronto Film Festival in 2020.
