It’s been years since Ovidi disappeared in the sea without a trace. His widow, Teresa’s love is still as strong as it ever was, something the villagers can’t quite understand. Soon, the lovers will meet again, though in a very unexpected way.

Joan Vives i Lozano’s 2017 debut short film, The Beetle at the End of the Street (El escarabajo al final del la calle) played more than 200 festivals worldwide, ten of which were Academy Award-qualifying, including Clermont-Ferrand, Seattle IFF, Interfilm Berlin, Cinema Jove, and Bifan Korea. It won more than 40 awards, including Best Ibero-American Short Film at Guadalajara Film Festival, Mexico. 

Joan teaches filmmaking at ESCAC film school, and has been second unit director on many feature films, including Yo No Soy Esa (Sony Int. Pictures/ El Estudio) and Guerra de Likes (Sony Int. Pictures / Feel Good Films).
