Daniel Soares is a Portuguese writer, filmmaker & photographer, who was born in Germany and currently lives in New York. He has worked in fiction, nonfiction, music videos and fashion films. His first narrative short film, O Que Resta, screened at several international festivals. As did his documentary short film, Forgotten. Recently, he was selected into Locarno’s Spring Academy with Michelangelo Frammartino, where he wrote and directed his newest short film Please Make It Work, which premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2022.
