In a rehab center for deaf youth, a new patient finds himself drawn to a long-term resident. Soon his feelings develops into the «hedgehog’s dilemma», where the desire for closeness and connection will constantly be at odds with the need for self-protection and distance.

Mateusz Rybiński is a second year student of film directing in Krzysztof Kieślowski film school in Katowice, Poland. Hedgehog’s dilemma, his first year film and film debut, world premiered at the 39th Warsaw Film Festival, where it received the short film jury’s Special Mention.
