Martin Turk was born in 1978 in Trieste, Italy.

He graduated in 2004 at Ljubljana film academy AGRFT. His student films received multiple awards and were screened worldwide.

He is the author of three feature films, but throughout his career remains deeply devoted to short films which have always been his special love. In all his short films he deals with basic human relationships to extract the specific emotional state of his characters, regularly being children and youth.
