Jasmijn Kooijman was raised in Amsterdam and moved to Sweden in 2015. She made her debut with the short documentary My New Home is a Trailer (GFF 2018), which won the Tempo New Doc Award. Since then, she has directed several short films and developed a feature documentary. Many of her projects are about human rights and migration. Her most recent short, Dance my Doll has played festivals across Europe and got nominated for a Guldbagge (Swedish Academy Award) for Best Short.
