Jorge (70) is a dedicated janitor at the Paradise Motel, except for a single detail: He secretly records guests having sex and sells the audio to Alberto for extra income as well as affection, but can no longer remember what his own pleasure sounds like. A film that eroticizes bodies that aren’t commonly seen as symbols of attraction, libido or even love.
Renato Sircilli is a director, editor, and screenwriter, whose recent works deal with the complexities of LGBTQ+ representation, with a particular focus on aging and the sonic possibilities of cinema. He has directed seven short films that have been screened and awarded at festivals like Havana, BAFICI, Frameline, Ann Arbor, Queer Lisboa, and many others. He is currently developing this short into his first feature film, produced by Dezenove Som e Imagens’ Sara Silveira and Maria Ionescu.
