Julia Patey started her filmmaking career in Canada at the age of 6, making fake commercials with her siblings on their family camcorder. She then received a bachelor of fine arts in Vancouver, where she studied philosophy and film production, experimenting with visual storytelling and photography. In 2013, she left her homeland behind and set off for Berlin. She is currently making commercials, short films, music videos and writing her first feature film.
