After witnessing a fatal car accident, Mischa experienced an acute psychotic episode and was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. This is her story of trauma and healing through the creation of art.

Mischa Jakupcak is a writer, director and producer. Born and raised in Missoula, USA, she holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Arizona in Creative Writing and Philosophy and an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. She wrote and directed the short films The Hero Pose, Kill Cash Cow Kill, Eating Ugly Children and Slow Moving Houses. Mischa has worked on over thirty feature films, nine VR pieces as well as actively engaging communities to encourage creative activism through the arts and technology. Her work has screened at numerous festivals.
