This film is continued interval shooting and multiple exposure of the setting sun from the same position and same angle by 16mm film. The shooting period extends to 5 years. The title 13 derived from the fact that the interval shooting was done at 13-second intervals.
Shinya Isobe was born 1982 in Yokohama, Japan. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University Graduate School and Image Forum Institute of Moving Image. His 2020 film 13 was awarded the Ken Burns for Best of the Festival at the 59th Ann Arbor Film Festival. His other major works EDEN(2011) For rest(2017) Humoresque(2022).
