The Norwegian Short Film Festival 2020 Goes Digital

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we have decided to make the 43rd festival edition digital.

The way we see the current situation, and in compliance with the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, moving the festival online in June is the only safe and responsible option.

Despite the disappointment that we experience and surely share with numerous festivals, organizers, filmmakers, film-lovers, film organizations and the rest of the global film industry, we still feel lucky to have the opportunity to keep working to present you a festival in a different format.

– We are currently working to find the best solution for our new online platform. Even though it is very disheartening that we won’t be able to socialize and share great experiences inside and outside of the screening rooms in Grimstad, we want to make sure that the festival experience gets as good as possible in order to bring the audience, filmmakers and industry together – online. We are very much looking forward to present the program to you in June, says festival director Anita Svingen.
