The Norwegian Short Film Festival wishes to thank all the filmmakers who have submitted films this year!

This year’s competition programme will be announced on Thursday the 10th of April.

Our three pre-selection juries have been persistently working for weeks, watching and selecting films for this year’s competition programme.

Everyone who has submitted a film will get their final response simultaneously as the programme’s publication on our website.

The festival takes place in Grimstad from the 11th to the 15th of June, as well as on The Norwegian Short Film Festival’s digital platform.

Facts about this year’s film submissions
  • NORWEGIAN SHORT FILM: 290 submissions
  • INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM: 2392 submissions
  • NORWEGIAN SHORT DOCUMENTARY: 99 submissions
  • INTERNATIONAL SHORT DOCUMENTARY: 443 submissions
  • MUSIC VIDEO: 64 submissions

In total there are as many as 3 288 submitted films, and we can’t wait to share which of these were selected to be screened at this year’s edition of the festival.
