For nine days in March, creatives of all stripes gather for the acclaimed SXSW Film Festival to celebrate raw innovation and emerging talent both behind and in front of the camera. Our Shorts & Program:
Our short film competitions are composed of ten, 90-minute programs that include Narrative, Documentary, Animated, Midnight, Texas and Music Video categories. Throughout these ten programs we are presenting a selection of original, well-crafted films that take advantage of the short form and exemplify distinctive and genuine storytelling.
The 2019 SXSW Short Film Programs were culled from over 5,000 submissions. Throughout the various programs we are dedicated to featuring a diverse collection of films from the filmmakers, their backgrounds, their stories and their styles.
This selection of films for the Norwegian Short Film Festival is intended to give you a small sampling of our programs that comprise our Narrative, Documentary, Animated & Midnight sections. Each film represents the voices & stories that move, excite and surprise the audience while connecting on an emotional level.
Programmer Gabe Van Amburgh will introduce the screening.
