Ben is nine today, and gets to choose three sweets at the supermarket. When his father is accosted by a stranger at the checkout, Ben doesn’t understand much, but this moment marks the beginning of the loss of childlike innocence.

Robert Decani
Robert Decani (b. 1999) from Rotenburg (Wümme), is studying directing at the ifs internationale filmschule Köln. Currently he is developing a comedy series with two fellow students as well as working on his graduation film. His projects are currently focusing on the topics of migration, identity and family. In November 2024 he was awarded the German Youth Screenwriting Award for his middle length script «Ithaka».
