Nowhere to Hide

Nd nowhere to hide

We follow medic Nori Sharif through five years of dramatic change in central Iraq, one of the world’s most dangerous areas. He starts filming survivors and hopes for a better future after the US withdrawal in 2011, but when he and his family are caught between IS and various militia groups they are forced to flee their homes. Then Nori turns the camera on himself.

Director Zaradasht Ahmed is a Kurdish-Norwegian filmmaker, born and raised in northern Iraq. He made the award-winning documentary The Road to Diarbakir and has extensive experience in documentary filmmaking in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. His last film Fata Morgana, was presented at Eurodok in Oslo.
